Jailbreaking is the process of removing restrictions on iOS devices through a series of software tools. These tools allow users to install apps, extensions and themes that are not available through the official Apple App Store.
Where will you meet it?
Most often we encounter it in connection with the iOS operating system on Apple devices such as the iPhone or iPad. Users jailbreak their devices to gain more control over their device so they can modify and customise their system beyond the limitations set by Apple.
